How often do you add new items to your website?
We have only recently started selling online through our website and we aim to add new items to the website every few weeks. We also have a lot of stock waiting to go online and at our shop in Camden, London. You can keep up to date with what’s new by liking our page on Facebook or following us on Twitter!
I’m looking for something special, can you help?
Certainly! If you aren’t having any luck online then pop along to our store where our friendly team will be glad to assist you. Alternatively, you can use our contact form to email us with your specific requirements. We will get back to you as and when we feel we may have something suitable.
Can I pay via direct bank transfer?
Yes. We accept BACS payments as well as secure online transactions through Paypal.
Help – my parcel hasn’t arrived
Do not worry! Sometimes there can be unforeseen delays in the postal service, especially on international deliveries. We send all packages by Royal Mail Recorded delivery so we can track where they are. If your item has not arrived within 10 working days then please get in touch.
Can I return an item that does not fit?
Sure! Please contact us within two days of receiving your item if you aren’t completely happy with your purchase. You can return any item* purchased online to us within 7 working days from the date on which it was signed for providing it has not been worn, all original tags are attached and you have included a completed Returns Form (PDF) in your package. *We regret that we cannot offer a refund or exchange on pierced jewellery, intimate apparel, hosiery, swimwear, sale items or gift certificates.
How do I work out what size I am?
Vintage clothing was made-to-measure up until the 1950s, where ready-to-wear ranges were introduced. These sizes, like today, vary a lot from store to store. We make it easier for you by measuring the garments and giving you an indication of the fabric, for example, if it will stretch or not. Please see our Size Guide for how we measure and size our garments to find your perfect fit.
What do you class as vintage?
Vintage refers to an item or group of items that were made at least 20 years ago.
Has the item been washed before my purchase?
A great deal of our items are washed prior to sale but some items are not able to be washed due to the nature of the fabric. Almost all of our items are steam cleaned by us prior to sale. Please take a look at our Vintage Care guide for our tips on how best to care for your vintage items.
How do you rate the condition of your items?
We check and grade our items thoroughly before they are available for sale. Please view our Condition Guide for details on the terms we use to classify our vintage merchandise as this will help you understand the condition and quality of our items.
Do you loan out items for professional photo shoots?
Yes, we are happy to loan items for professional shoots. Please contact us with your request and we will get back to you! Terms and conditions for hiring items can be found in store.
Do you loan out items for fancy dress parties?
Unfortunately at the present time we cannot hire out items for fancy dress parties.
Are you looking for any staff at the moment?
We are always excited to meet people with an interest in vintage who have passion and new ideas. You are welcome to send in your CV but please be aware that we cannot reply to everyone and do not often have positions available. However, if we like your CV we may keep it on file for a year in case a suitable position or placement arises.
Are you interested in buying my clothes?
We only buy quality vintage ladies apparel. It has to be in excellent condition and quirky. We usually buy unbranded vintage in lots or small collections and designer branded vintage items by piece. If you think you have something we may be interested in, please email pictures and descriptions to email@example.com. If we do not get back to you within ten working days then sadly they are not for us.
I would like to visit our of hours, can I make a morning or evening appointment?
