Lea Stein Cat Brooch – “Bacchus”
This lovely genuine Lea Stein cat brooch, aka “Bacchus”, has a red and black checkered face. The back of this brooch is a lovely unusual bright pink and gold. It is in mint condition.
The brooch is signed ‘Lea Stein Paris’ on the ‘trademark’ v-shaped pin on the back. There is also a safety clasp on the pin fastener to secure the brooch.
About Lea Stein
Established in the 1960s, Lea Stein is a French artist and designer best known for her beautiful acrylic animal brooches. To this day she remains one of the most influential artists and plastic jewellery makers of the 20th Century and is widely collected around Europe and the United States of America.
Lea Stein and her husband still make a small number of these pieces to this day; we are lucky enough to buy these from her sole UK supplier, which means we are able to keep our prices low!
