Vintage 1950s day dress with pretty ditsy floral pattern – Small – Waist 26″

A beautiful vintage 1950s day dress with lovely ditsy floral print of blue, yellow and pink on a black background. It has a lovely shape, with a slightly dropped waist with the hem falling below the knee. The neckline has been altered so that it is a little smaller than it was originally; it has been sewn by hand but could be let out by about 3cm on each side (best estimate). There is a metal lightning zip closure on the back and a label “Mericana dress by Linzi, Made in England”

Condition: Good vintage condition. Previously well repaired at the junction of bodice with both shoulder straps. There is a tiny fray next to the zipper. Hem on left side has an L-shape repair. Given the pattern and position of theses repairs they are all very discrete and do not detract from its beauty.
