Napier Cherry Brooch
Wonderfull kitsch vintage Napier cherry brooch from the seventies or eighties. This sweet cherry is made from solid cast golden metal. The back of the brooch is golden and has a straight pin with a safety clasp on the pin fastener to secure the brooch. The makers mark, ‘Napier’, can be seen on the back. If you like this you might want to look at some examples of costume jewellery by designer, Sarah Coventry, as it looks a typical of the designs she was creating in the 60s and 70s.
Why we love costume jewellery
Classic and elegant costume jewellery can add flair to any outfit, smart or casual. Vintage costume jewellery can be a great statement piece. It is also refreshing to know that you are unlikely to find two identical, so there is not much chance of someone wearing the same as you.
1960s – 1980s metal costume jewellery in particular is usually weightier than its modern counterparts. These items of jewellery were made to last, and with one size fits all – make perfect gifts!
