Terms & Conditions of Online Sales
We accept payments via PayPal, and Credit/Debit Cards (via Paypal – no account needed).
Delivery & Shipping
Postage costs are calculated by the weight, size and value of your order;
UK – Orders for items up to the value of £20 can be sent via standard Royal Mail (choice of first or second class).
Orders over the value of £20 and under 2kg are sent by Royal Mail Signed For and require a signature upon delivery. Items over 2kg can be sent by either Royal Mail Signed For or My Hermes Signed For (UK only – choice at checkout). All available methods of shipping applicable to your item(s) can be found in the dropdown box at checkout.
It is your responsibility to make sure someone is at the delivery address to sign for your item(s). You can usually collect your parcel from your local delivery office or re-arrange delivery if you miss the first attempted delivery of your parcel.
We aim to process your order within one to three working days. You will receive an email once your order has been dispatched. UK first class mail usually takes 1-2 days to arrive.
Europe – Orders with a value up to and including £20 are sent via Royal Mail International Standard.
Orders with a value over £20 are sent by Royal Mail Signed For/Tracked (depending on destination).
We aim to process your order within one to three working days. You will receive an email once your order has been dispatched. European mail usually takes 5-10 days to arrive.
Outside of Europe – All orders are sent via Royal Mail Signed For/Tracked (depending on destination). This costs a bit extra but ensures that your item arrives safely.
We aim to process your order within one to three working days. You will receive an email once your order has been dispatched. Royal Mail Signed For/Tracked to outside the EU usually takes 7-14 days to arrive.
Please be aware that duty/import tax may be applicable in your country and is your sole responsibility. See our section below on Duty/Import Charges.
Please note that our delivery times are an estimate and are not guaranteed due to circumstances beyond our control. Working days are Monday-Friday and exclude Bank Holidays. Deliveries cannot be made on Bank holidays or Sundays.
Special Delivery options are also available upon request. The price will apply depending on the weight, size, urgency of the parcel and the particular courier. Please get in touch for a quote before you purchase if you wish to have your parcel sent by special delivery.
Overseas Duty/Import Charges
Please be aware that duty/import tax may be applicable in your country and is your sole responsibility.
If in any doubt please check with your local Customs and Excise office for current rates before you place your order. Sadly, we have no control over these charges and we cannot advise you what the cost will be as this varies form country to country.
Our prices include VAT.
Returns & Refunds
We want you to be delighted with your purchase! Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your item(s) if you are not happy with your purchase, and we will endeavour to resolve any issues or concerns you may have.
St Cyr Vintage can offer a refund on any item purchased online (excluding pierced jewellery, swimwear, hosiery, intimate apparel, sale items and giftcards) that you are not completely happy with provided that you post it back to us unworn, with all original tags, in a saleable condition, with a Returns Form (PDF) completed and enclosed in your parcel within 10 days of reciept of goods. You have 10 working days from when your parcel was received to post it back to us.
Items must be returned at your own cost. We regret that we cannot refund the cost of postage (this includes the original delivery cost and return postage). In the instance that you were sent the wrong item, or if an item has been grossly misrepresented, we will refund the cost of the item (including delivery cost applicable for that item) and reimburse you for the postage for returning the item to us. Please be aware that the maximum amount that we can refund you for items under 2kg with a value of £20 or less is the standard Royal Mail delivery cost; items under 2kg, the standard Royal Mail Signed For delivery cost; and items over 2kg, the standard My Hermes Signed For delivery cost. We cannot refund the excess cost of a parcel returned to us by courier or any other delivery service.
Once the returned goods have been received we will process your refund to the account and/or card from which the original payment was made. While we aim to process refunds as soon as they arrive back to us, please allow up to 28 days for your refund to appear on your bank statement.
If you wish to return an item for refund please be aware that:
– All original tags must be attached
– Item(s) must be returned in the same condition as they were received
– Item(s) must be in a saleable condition
Returns will not be accepted if:
– Original tags have been removed
– Tags have been ‘re-attached’
– Items appear to have been worn
– Items have any odour
– Items are not in a saleable condition
Please do not cut off tags before trying on items as we cannot accept items that have had tags cut off or ‘re-attached’. We also suggest that you do not wear strong perfume when you are trying on clothing and that you store items that you intend to return to us in a safe place away from food and cigarette smoke as we cannot accept items with an odour. Once you have completed your returns form please include it in your parcel along with your return item(s) and post it by Royal Mail Signed For Delivery* to:St Cyr VintageArch 56Saddle RowCamden MarketLondonNW1 8AH
*It is strongly recommended that you post any returns to us with Royal Mail Signed For as we cannot be held responsible for any item(s) that get lost in the post. It is also advisable that you package the item securely.
**Please note that goods purchased online cannot be refunded in store and goods purchased in store cannot be refunded online**
If you would like to exchange an item we advise that you place a new order for the new item you want and then return the item you don’t want for a refund (normal terms & conditions apply).
When you place an order you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your order. This email is an acknowledgement of your order and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by email that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you. Only the item(s) listed in the confirmation email sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.
It is your responsibility to check that all information provided by yourself is correct when creating an online account or proceeding to payment. It is your responsibility to maintain your own username and password, where required, to access your account. Please ensure that you store your details securely and that these are not passed onto another party. If you believe that your account has been compromised you should inform St Cyr Vintage immediately.
We do our best to ensure that the photographic representation, description and specification of each product are accurate. However, while the colour reproduction is a close likeness, a slight variation might occur. The colours you see will depend on your monitor’s settings. St Cyr Vintage can not guarantee that your monitor’s representation of any colour will be accurate.
Dating & Describing Vintage
We deal in vintage clothing (unless specified otherwise on the listing) and all items are sold “as is”. The nature of vintage means all of our items are pre-owned and pre-loved. Many items have lasted decades and will show some minor imperfections including signs of age, wear and usage; some items may have tiny holes, loose threads, discoloration, fading, missing buttons, small marks etc; some will have had a repair or adjustment during their lifetime. Already existing repairs are not deemed to impact on the quality of the item; it is common with vintage items and adds the their character and charm. It is advisable to have reasonable expectation about the durability, longevity and performance of any vintage or second-hand item(s). It is also good to consider the rarity and age of an item as this is always reflected in the cost.
We do our best to describe all items as accurately as possible, and photograph and list any major flaws if any. Please make sure to read through the whole listing to avoid disappointment, and do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any further details or photos.
We try to date to the nearest decade. If we are not certain about the date of an item we will say in the description, for example, “c.1960“. If we are not sure about the material composition we may say “(material)-mix“, “unknown” or “manmade“.
The term Vintage is generally accepted as an item that is at least 20 years old. Retro refers to an item made at a date later than that which it’s style evokes. Antique by general definition refers to an item that was made over 100 years ago. Collectables refers to items that are not old enough to be antiques but are thought to be sought after now or in the future.
We use these terms below to rate the quality and condition of our vintage items;
Deadstock – A vintage item that has never been worn or used; some even have original shop/brand tags
Mint – Perfect condition, no signs of wear
Excellent – In excellent vintage condition, no imperfections
Good – In good vintage condition, with only one or two tiny imperfections that may be visible (such as wash-wear) but which do not detract from the style and wearability of the item
Fair – In fair vintage condition, with visible flaws or marks and/or with signs of wear
Poor – Wearable but has seen better days. May require work, repair or stain removal
Study Piece – Not meant for wear but sold solely as a subject for remake or historical study

Designer Branded goods
St Cyr Vintage sometimes sells second-hand designer branded items. These do not come directly from the original supplier or manufacturer. Due to the nature of this we cannot guarantee the initial origin and authenticity of any item. Every care is taken to ensure that we only sell items that we believe to be genuine. Please read the product description and view the product photos carefully. If you are in doubt of the authenticity of an item then please do not complete your purchase. If you have purchased already but are doubting the authenticity then you may to return it to us as outlined in these terms and conditions above.
Pricing and Availability
Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this website are accurate, sometimes errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any item which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order with the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. Please be aware that each piece we sell is unique and some items may be available both online and in store, and on a rare occasion an item listed online may be unavailable or sold out.
St Cyr Vintage reserve the right to change any part of this agreement without notice. We may make changes to the products and prices described in it at any time without notice. The material on this Website may be out of date, and we make no commitment to update such material.
