Vintage 1980s Bergdorf Goodman (BG) Signed Necklace

A gorgeous example of a vintage 1980s Bergdorf Goodman signed necklace. This lovely vintage necklace is a beautiful design and features a which metal chain. The main focal point is made from metal and enamel fashioned in a curvy shape. In the centre there is a lovely peach-orange sparkly transparent detail which looks a little like a butterfly.

This lovely example has the signature letters “BG” on the back of the feature piece. It dates to around the 1980s, and fastens with a fold over clasp at the back.

This necklace is in excellent condition.

1980s Fashion & Why We Love It

The second half of the 1980s was one of the most eclectic eras for fashion. It was a decade of bold style, silhouettes and colours. The 80s saw a much bolder approach to colour and texture, including bright, shiny and vivid designs. During this time there was a high resurgence of over the top costume jewellery in brash and shiny colours.
